David Salamon

David studied Computer Science at UCSB. He has written software and provided statistical consulting to over 20 companies, including the Cydia store for jailbroken iPhones, Wealthfront, and Apptimize. He has published papers on bioinformatics and machine learning, and has done computer vision work for the Scripps Institute of Oceanography.

He cares deeply about how the future unfolds, donating his time, money, and energy to high efficiency charities such as Berkeley’s Center For Applied Rationality (CFAR), 80,000 Hours, the Machine Intelligence Research Institute, and GiveWell.
